Hibiscus rosa sinensis popularly known as gudhal in North India is a flower having medicinal value and is used in Ayurveda for the same. The flower is edible and is consumed in many forms. Although the flower is not yet very popular among the masses but has effective results on skin and hair care.The flower has remedial effects on spilt ends, dry hair and is good for people who color their hair frequently. It given smooth and shiny hair if applied with egg. The flower also cures hair fall when used with coconut oil and treats dandruff problems when used with fenugreek paste. The flower if consumed with buttermilk in summer, protects from heat. The antioxidant in gudhal leaves prevent the body from developing ulcers when consumed with water. It also helps in curing leucorrhea and increases immunity in the body.
